Service Options
Brief v.s. Ongoing Sessions
While Jeffrey works with you to determine the appropriate length of service
for you at this particular time in your life, he strives to keep treatment brief,
working toward defined goals and then re-evaluating treatment to determine if
more sessions are indicated. Jeffrey's ideal model of therapy includes a client
engaging in therapy for a brief time and then stopping to implement
and build upon the work accomplished in therapy. Clients would then come in for
"check-ups" at various points in their lives when a person feels stuck, wishes
to work on another specific goal, or is going through a stressful period, always
with brief treatment as the focus.
Ongoing therapy is also available for clients interested in long-term, deeper
work in psychotherapy. There are times when an individual is interested in exploring
a deeper issue that brief sessions are not best suited. When longer-term therapy
is not specifically the treatment plan, Jeffrey works with you to keep within
brief therapeutic framework.
